Feature proposal: logit scale

Hi everyone,
while working on this issue the need for a logit function emerged.
A logit function operates on a domain of (0,1) and it's particularly suitable to enhance numbers close to the domain's extremes.
Here there is the same scale implemented in matplotlib, which I took as a reference.

I have already submitted a pr, if possible I'd appreciate some feedback, and I'd like to know if there are any plans to integrate it
