In the 2.1 branch, this configure option (no kerberos libs) correctly compiles the saslpasswd2 binary in the utils/ dir when liblmdb is available for linking. In the master branch it fails to compile the binary. This needs fixing but doesn't affect the 2.1.28 release.

./configure --with-dblib=lmdb
