Another note from Andy. He was critical of the equipment, suggesting that a rubber belt treadmill may be inadequate for the experiments. He was curious if we examined the belt velocity at heel strike. If the belt isn't stiff in the fore-aft direction then fix ground models and assumption may be erroneous. I forgot exactly why this came up. He mentioned that some people have stiff belt treadmills.
