It would be nice to have a dry run option, so you could check overall what changes would be made.

perhaps rsync verbage:
-n, --dry-run perform a trial run with no changes made

This works for single deploys, but it would be interesting to have it be able to tell you what would get removed, overwritten etc for sanity checking. Especially when you have the ability to --force which can remove large portions of the codebase if people have used the wrong path's etc.
