As a user (with different background) I would like to get a statistical visualized information including historical timeline-based development of a repository and aggregation of them (regional, national, contintental, global) in order to get a reliable profile of the system #24

what kind of user?
what is the benefit they are trying to achieve?

I have all users of the registry in mind. Everybody who uses the IRD registry could be interested in computed and visualized figures describing the system and its different aggregation levels and aspects

It would be good to be more specific - a particular kind of user trying to achieve a particular goal

This is closely related to issue #18 (which is about visualisation) but could be made clearer by emphasising the requirement for historical data.

@fsummann - are you willing to edit this issue's title to that effect?

#18 addresses the way of delivering those data in order to allow all kind of using . #24 is the IRD-specific approach for an end-user service and adresses the IRD aspects of quality (a kind of best-practice prototype in the IRD context)

I'm trying to clarify this user-story: I think the requirement which this issue introduces is the need to the IRD to provide historical data. It's not entirely clear what this means yet, but I assume this means access to historical versions of the metadata held by the IRD, so that consuming systems might be able to create visualisations of the changes in the metadata over time.

Does that sound right to you @fsummann?
