GSoC 2023 Applications are now open for contributors (mentees)

Interested Google Summer of Code contributors can now register for GSoC 2023 and start submitting their project proposals at g.co/gsoc.

Deadline for submitting proposals is Tuesday, April 4th at 18:00 UTC. However, we encourage any potential applicants to share their draft proposals and ask for feedback from mentors before submitting their final proposals.

GSoC project ideas for CNCF projects are listed in the ideas document.

Here are some tips for applicants:

• Google has very valuable tips in their announcement
• GSoC website requires proposals to be PDF documents but it is hard for mentors to add comments and give feedback. We encourage you to share the proposal in a medium with mentors where they can add comments with ease, such as Google Docs or hackmd.io. Note: you would still be required to have the proposal submitted to GSoC system!
