* Investigate swapping out zap logger for zerolog, or something prettier with k/v fields
* Add support for snappy and lz4 compression options for on-disk queue data
* Write strategy / design, quickstart, plugin development documentation
* Use lucidchart to show diagram of pipeline, processor, sluus and queue
* Write documentation for message and plugin packages
* Figure out why shutdown is blocked and cpu util is high * Setup cirrus CI build automation for linux, windows, osx and fbsd
* Work on packaging for linux and windows
* Decide on a versioning convention (semver, calver, or some combination )
** Version will need to support plugin API stability, while also reflecting minor changes over time as development slows
** MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH-YEAR.QUARTER ( e.g. 1.3.8-2021.3 ). There may be nonbreaking updates multiple times in the quarter
** ( 1.4.2021.3 will supersede 1.3.2021.3 ) Dependency related updates, for example a build against a newer version
** of go or some major library would mean major and minor would remain the same, while the date / quarter would change
** This also fits windows four part versioninfo scheme 0.1.0-2019.1
** Semver will treat the YEAR.QUARTER section as a prerelease version having less precedence than an plain MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH
** Don't release a version without YEAR.QUARTER
* Decide on how or whether to separate plugins into their own repository
* Setup Github Pages and sluus.io domain
