Open new window in context menu doesn't work for non saved file

I've checked all the other resources and found this PR on it a while back: #134.

Doesn't look like it works. See image:

After some investigation it works if the file is a saved file but if you have a new file it doesn't work.

Also the overall behavior is a bit weird. See gif of drag and drop behavior and opening new window and dragging back into window
