This is much like closed issue "Disable touchpad on type -- ignore shift, ctl, alt, chords, function keys, escape, &c? #11" but with the addition of keystrokes such as up/down/side arrows and PgUp/PgDn keys.

What can (and does) happen is when you have focus in say a browser window and use the navigational keys to move about, your "mouse" pointer gets frozen until you tap the touchpad. Sometimes, this can lead to accidentally opening a new window, checking an option box, or other undesired actions.

It also makes sense when you're doing things such as what the previous issue poster suggests, but for me, the navigation keys are worse offenders.
