New arduino for eleksmaker, M4 possibel?

I have actually no expirience in programing!
I bought an eleksmaker a3pro a year ago. I hoped beeing able to engrave pictures with grayscales and so on... with the custom program from eleksmaker there is no oppurtunity to do this...
So i tried laser grbl... for dynamic lasering i need to choose M4... but this dit not work... is this software ore hardware issue? Does the eleksmaker arduino even support dynamic lasering?
I read, that i have to use pwm istead of ttl, but that for i have to modify the arduino... switching pins and others...

Now i have to buy a new arduino because of several issues...
Should i buy an other arduino, then the eleksmakers one to achive my goals?
Unfortunately my enlish isnt that good. So its realy difficult for me to to find good answears out of the bloggs etc.
