So as the title says I tried to enable the extension in incognito and that immediately caused all my tabs to vanish only few grouped tabs have survived.
I tried Ctrl+Alt+T but doesn't seem to work.

This option will restart the extension by killing all processes owned by the extension, so all suspended tabs would vanish (unless you enable Native Tab Discard option).

People also reported losing suspended tabs when they force the extension to update manually (which also kills all extension processes). @kingdevil731 Maybe we should look into persisting suspended tabs url and metadata into an internal database so we can recover the suspended tabs when the extension processes are unexpectedly killed and restarted by the browser.

Okay makes sense.. In the mean time maybe we can have a warning atleast saying "This action will reset the tabs" just so people like myself won't do it. 😄
