[FEATURE] Allow downloading from all app stores #214
Comments
@klement what app store are referring to , chrome/google or apple app store? https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/jiffy-reader/lljedihjnnjjefafchaljkhbpfhfkdic?hl=en-GB&authuser=2 |
https://github.com/ansh/jiffyreader.com#safari says Download via the App Store here or TestFlight here. This works for both macOS and iOS. We are working on getting it approved to download directly via the App Store. If you want to build the app yourself, follow the instructions below Referenced link https://apps.apple.com/in/app/jiffy-reader/id6444754311 opens web version which shows jiffy reader in safari, which immediately opens the app store app, which says that the item is not available in my country/region |
@ansh for your attention |
Can we get the status of this updated in the readme? Looks like the Beta is full up and so sitting on the outside, I have no idea when I'll next be able to use it. Is there are average turn around time from Apple? Edit: This says 1 to 3 days https://www.instabug.com/blog/how-to-submit-app-to-app-store So what gives? |
try the experimental build for safari and give feedback |
I'm not interested in anything that I can't use on my phone. |
|
Well the suggestion to just download the desktop experimental zip is not a solution as it won't run on the phone. So I don't know why it's marked as completed. My understanding is that this was a ticket for getting a real approved app in the Apple App Store which has not happened yet. There is no way to run it on mobile even if I try the experimental build. |
@jeffscottward will look into it. Appreciate the clarification |
Hi, I'm also looking for a "proper" way to download this on my MacBook, rather than building it myself or throwing zip-files around. Is there an estimated timeframe when new beta access via Testflight or universal (global) setup via AppStore is available? |
I'm in Slovakia and App Store says Jiffy Reader is not available in my country/region.
Is there a reason for this restriction?
