Unable to Close a Separate Window #136

This project is pretty much deprecated. Please use an alternative extension. |
How's that deprecated ? |
The core translation API is not functioning. So I wrapped it with a simpler one for now (no extra info on the translation panel). I don't see any library that supports the new changes.
Yes |
@Vyncent1982 You can try start mozilla in safe mode. Is the window still appears? |
"Note: What is the use of trying to use another extension, when I can't remove the current problem with Google Translate, to stop with this window, even when I remove the Addon?" How's that deprecated ? Is that the same extension from the links below? (Yes)

I have responded to the questions asked, and again I am being left with no options for resolving this matter. It would be nice to at least let me know if anything is being down about this, or if I am just being brushed off and need to live with this problem as it currently stands. |
@Vyncent1982 have you tried disabling the extension? You can disable the extension and restart your browser once. |
"@Vyncent1982 have you tried disabling the extension? You can disable the extension and restart your browser once." I am sorry, perhaps I didn't say this already. I have disabled the app. I have disabled, rebooted, no luck. I have deleted, and rebooted multiple times, and it still doesn't go away. I do not even have the app. at all right now, and this window will not go away unless I close my browser, but when I reopen my browser it comes back again. It doesn't have anyway for me to close it. I can't move it, nothing seems to get rid of this window. I did mention this in my original post. Even removing the browser and shutting everything down, rebooting my computer doesn't work. The window still comes back. |
Please, if this is something you can't do anything to help with, just say so. I receive your questions, and answer, and a week later still get to reply back. Sorry if I am imposing. I don't mean to inconvenience anyone. I just want this thing fixed. |
@Vyncent1982 no disabled extension can open a new window. The issue that you are facing has nothing to do with this extension. I recommend to migrate to a new profile and install your extensions one by one until you find the one that causes the problem. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox/Multiple_profiles |
I have attempted multiple times to contact support on this extension for help with an on going problem. For over a month now, I have had a problem with Google Translate having opened an extra window when I open up Firefox. This extra window sits behind the browser and it cannot be moved, or closed unless I close the browser, but reopens automatically when I reopen my browser. I have tried disabling Google translate, deleting it entirely, and that window still pops up. I have used the support sight to submit a request for help on this matter, and I have sent email, as well, but I do not get any response on this matter. I have used Google Translate for years, and it is very useful, but I need help fixing this problem. I have also sent screenshot of the window that cannot be moved or closed. The window seems to be one to get me to add the addon to all my devices, and or select a language. I only have my computer and iPhone and I have uninstalled in from the iPhone. Even tried removing it from both computer and iPhone and I still can't get rid of this window. Please help!
