The elevations seem gone and the contents of RecyclerView overlay sibling views during shared element transition

I don't know if this is a bug or not but this is really strange, especially the latter problem which seems somewhat random.
I just added two views above and below the RecyclerView in GridFragment and disabled the fading animation in the GridToPager example and took a video. I think it's clear enough to show the problems.
