Toolbox is a framework for iOS development with collected code snippets and extensions that is repeatedly copied from project to project. With the toolbox we want to save time and get rid of copy/paste stuff.
Import the framework to your class
with import ToolBox
.
You are now able to use some helpers like:

It will return true if the string is optional, nil, empty, empty space, tab, newline or return

Get rid of using the old way to define styles to the UILabel or UIButtons
The old way is inconsistent and in case you need to change the font size you need to go all through and change it manually

Coordinators use UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate
to receive callbacks, when managed UIViewControllers are being dismissed.
The delegate will only be set to the Coordinator, when a Coordinator is presented modally (through present(_ coordinator: Coordinator, animated: Bool, completion: (() -> Void)? = nil)
). If the delegate is already set a fatalError is thrown, as this is a programming error.
If the UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate
callbacks are needed they can be implemented directly in the Coordinator itself.
The delegate callbacks can be forwarded to another object via the targetAdaptiveDelegate
.
Per default the targetAdaptiveDelegate
is the rootViewController
of the Coordinator.
For the NavigationCoordinator
the topViewController
is the targetAdaptiveDelegate
.
The UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate
is handed over, when pushing a NavigationCoordinator
(e.g. calling the push(_ coordinator: NavigationCoordinator, animated: Bool)
function)
If you do not receive callbacks check:
- does your class / UIViewController confirm to
UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate
- does the Coordinator intercept the callbacks (e.g. has implemented the function)
- is the
targetAdaptiveDelegate
set to the correct object - is another
NavigationCoordinator
pushed and intercepting the callbacks

In any file you'd like to use Toolbox in, don't forget to import the framework with import ToolBox
.
