Warn user when the scenario material masks have issues

Describe the new feature or enhancement

The scenario material masks are boolean masks indicating which grid points are in which material layer. The masks should not overlap, as each grid point should be in exactly one material layer.

So we can easily perform a check for the data sanity and raise an exception, informing the user that something is wrong
