Code available at https://github.com/r-bioinformatics/edgePy
Last commit is from 4 years ago and last issue from 2018 -> repo seems to be stale. We could integrate some of the code into autoprot but this would require a thorough code review.

As the R packages for differential expression are getting regularly updated we could also implement the orgininal cran package and give backend python or R as an option:
