About The Project

The goal of this project is to develop a simple yet fully functional flight controller for quadcopter UAV's to showcase the components needed to develop such a system from scratch. Any MCU which can run MbedOS should be compatible. MbedOS specific drivers are included for the ICM20948 IMU, HCSR04 ultrasonic sensor, and MS5611 barometer/thermometer. Other sensors may be supported in the future. A single board computer is used for transceiving video, flight data, and commands over WiFi to a ground control station. A Qt based application is included to communicate with the drone.s

Getting Started

This is an example of how you may give instructions on setting up your project locally. To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Prerequisites

This is an example of how to list things you need to use the software and how to install them.

Installation

  1. Clone the repo
    git clone https://github.com/acont95/flight-controller.git
  2. Input your specific IMU acceleration, gyro, and magnetometer offsets in main.cpp. Modify pin definition to match your sensor wiring.
  3. Compile and upload controller software to your MCU.
