git up is ridiculously slow on some repos #91

Hi,

I've got a few repos where running git up takes minutes to complete. I don't know what is causing the issue, but it's really disturbing.

What do you need to analyze the situation? Is there some debug flag etc. to see what is causing the hold-up?
