An Angular web app (generated with Angular CLI v15.0.1) for the Kansas City St Andrew Pipes and Drums band. Resources for fans, prospetive students, and current members.

Installation

1. Follow the Angular setup guide to configure your local environment and workspace
2. Clone this project to your local machine

Configure Environment

Set the member password in files src/environments/environment.ts & src/environments/environment.development.ts. This controls the password members of the band use to access the restricted section of the site.

Development Server Using Angular CLI

In the project directory open a new terminal and run ng serve for a dev server. This will build the code and start the server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/ to view the site. The application will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Code scaffolding

Run ng generate component component-name to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive|pipe|service|class|guard|interface|enum|module.

Build Locally Using Angular CLI

Run ng build --configuration production to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory. These files can be deployed to a hosting provider to run in production.

Build and Run via Docker

Open a terminal in the project directory and run docker build -t pipeband-image . to build the docker image.

Use 'docker scan' to run Snyk tests against images to find vulnerabilities and learn how to fix them

Then run this command to start a container docker run --name pipeband-container -d -p 8080:80 pipeband-image. The site should now be available at http://localhost:8080/.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Running end-to-end tests

Run ng e2e to execute the end-to-end tests via a platform of your choice. To use this command, you need to first add a package that implements end-to-end testing capabilities.
