Active Display Light Doesn't Come On and Touch Button Doesn't Work

Just received the T-Echo and updated firmware to v2.3.4. The active display light will not come on after button one in pressed twice and screen flickers sometimes. Also, the top touch button does not operate.

I have the same issue, the touch button on the top doesn't work (it used to full refresh the screen) and the light doesn't work either. Still not fixed (I'm on 2.3.9 beta)

Mine came flashed with 2.3.8 and the top button turned the light on, I upgraded to 2.3.11 and it no longer turns the light on (it seems to do nothing now). Any ideas?
