Crash on the Select Files or Folder dialog

Winmerge now always crashes when I type a file or folder name or when I select a file or a folder in the Select Files or Folder dialog.

Configuration file : WinMerge.txt
The issue is also present in WinMerge 2.16.41.1 release.

I tried importing the settings in the WinMerge.txt file you attached, but I was unable to reproduce the problem on my PC.

When the program crashes, a crash dump may have been output to the following folder. If the file exists, could you please attach it?

Unfortunately, when you attach a file to a reply to an email from GitHub, it doesn't get reflected in the Git issue, so I wasn't able to see the attachment.

Thank you for attaching the file.

I checked the file and it seems to be a different crash from the one you reported; it was a crash that occurred when you quit WinMerge while comparing folders.
This crash has probably been improved in the latest version.
Did you have another crash dump file?

Hi Takashi,

Thank you for your time.
I tried hard, but I was unable to make it crash again, so, I don't have a new crashDump file to send.
Since the issue seems to be random, I don't actually know when and how it happens.
I promise I will send the crashDump if it crashes again.
