Crash on the Select Files or Folder dialog #2404

I tried importing the settings in the WinMerge.txt file you attached, but I was unable to reproduce the problem on my PC. When the program crashes, a crash dump may have been output to the following folder. If the file exists, could you please attach it?

Winmerge now always crashes when I type a file or folder name or when I select a file or a folder in the Select Files or Folder dialog.
Configuration file : WinMerge.txt
The issue is also present in WinMerge 2.16.41.1 release.
