it might be nice to have some kind of welcome message DM from @wheelie-bot that gives someone an overview of a couple of channels of interests, reminds them about the existence of private identity channels, etc, when they first join the slack.

WeAllJS/wealljs.github.io#28 I've created an issue over on the website that I think might be an even easier way to address this particular problem -- by just using the post-signup page.

I'm interested in this issue and can contribute some code, I can't seem to find tho how to find a new user when they signup. There's an event to listen to, https://api.slack.com/events/team_join

Before adding any code tho, do you have a contributing guide or some tips to work on the project and debug? thanks :D

@dvidsilva: setting this app up for development. It's a serious, multi-step PITA (and I'm trying to make sure everything's documented in the README). I have a wheelie-dev slack I can invite you to and add you to the heroku app for it so you can putz around with it all you want, though. Otherwise, you could also try setting your own up, which might be a good exercise in understanding the app.

I am really interested in making it easier to run wheelie for development, but Slack apps just seem hard to do that with (cause you need to go through their web UI for a lot of stuff)

Missing to allow configuration for teams to change their welcome message. Perhaps a new issue is needed.
