Unable to Perform Actions on BounceBit Chain

Describe the bug

DApp: portal.bouncebit.io

Issue: Unable to perform actions on the BounceBit chain when connected through WalletConnect. While the wallet functions correctly for Ethereum actions within the same DApp, it fails with BounceBit chain-specific actions.

Error Messages:

• The DApp prompts "switch chain" even when the wallet is already set to BounceBit.
• The wallet displays the error: "'eip155:1/wallet_addEthereumChain' is not currently supported."
• Subsequently, the DApp shows a "Switch chain error."

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Staking

1. Go to https://portal.bouncebit.io/stake
2. Try to stake $BB tokens

3. Jump to wallet provider, zero signing action available 4. See error

Unstaking from "Premium"

1. Go to https://portal.bouncebit.io/premium
2. Try to unstake tokens if you have them
3. See

Prompt to approve/sign transaction in wallet

Additional context

The wallet provider suggests that the issue arises from WalletConnect not supporting custom EVM networks. An issue has been submitted to add BounceBit chain support: WalletConnect Issue #4550. Would this integration resolve the problem?
