Search result markers should be clickable

As discussed on #1184, when you perform a search within a manifest, the markers indicating hits do not seem to be consistently clickable. Sometimes clicking on a marker will jump you to the relevant page, but generally, you have to wait for the associated tool tip to open, and then click inside the body of the tool tip. This UI is a bit confusing; it would probably be better if the markers themselves were fully clickable and behaved consistently with the pop-up tool tips.
