An option to hide all copied images from the history would be appreciated.

Do you want images to be hidden but still be selectable in the menu (i.e. with a label such as [Image 18246]), or not saved at all?

My preference would be not to be saved at all

I updated the title and marked this as up for grabs.

The implementation should include a checkbox in the settings, under "Behavior" section, labeled "Cache images", with the default value set to "on".

If anyone would like to implement this, I will accept a PR for this feature.
