License of Perfect Dark decompilation really MIT?

I have https://github.com/n64decomp/perfect_dark, https://gitlab.com/ryandwyer/perfect-dark on my backlog and it says that the license of the decompilation is MIT, but the original game (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_Dark) was produced by Nintendo itself. I strongly doubt that Nintendo gave their permission for this decompilation. I therefore rejected it. Just to be sure this issue here. Will research more about it and possible contact all parties and ask for the legal status if there is time.
