Personally I want to use Home for simple things like

  • lock unlock
  • climate on off
  • sentry on off
  • hood open close
  • trunk open close

It would be useful to be able to select which controls we want.

I use home for voice commands without having to configure shortcuts on my phone and again on my wife's.

Hiding accessories is a native part of Homebridge, does that not achieve what you want?

It doesn't hide it in Apple Home.

I’m probably not your typical user. I think I will probably just use http-webhooks and the Tessie api to implement the few features I want.
