Expected Behavior

using youtube as an example, if i have return youtube dislike installed, it should load every time i open a new youtube tab.

Actual Behavior

if i already have a youtube tab open when i launch safari, RYD works fine, but subsequent youtube tabs don't have RYD loaded. this affects all scripts installed.

Specifications

  • Safari: 17.5
  • TM: 5.2.6199
  • OS: macOS 14.5

I have noticed the same behavior using TM with scripts for twitch.tv
Is there anything I can do to get it working again?

@tokon2000 you'd just have to wait it out i guess

I've had to quit and reload my entire browser session to fix this in the short term.

I noticed the same issue too since the latest Tampermonkey update a few weeks ago. Never had issues before. Any way to rollback? Seems quite random, don't really know how to trigger it

Yes, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

found a workaround (yes it took me almost a month):

  1. disable tampermonkey in safari settings
  2. quit safari
  3. uninstall tampermonkey
  4. reinstall tampermonkey
  5. reopen safari

Yes, it seems to work for me too. See how long.

something else i noticed last week: i tried to make a backup file of my userscripts/settings while tampermonkey was having issues and despite saying it was done, it got stuck loading, so clearly it's something on tampermonkey's end.

which makes me curious as to what breaks so consistently every tuesday.
