Taika Software License 1 (TSL1)

This license governs the use of the accompanying software ("Software") provided by Taika Tech Oy, a company incorporated in Finland with Finnish business identifier 3214893-1.

  1. Definitions
  • "Taika Ring" refers to devices manufactured by Taika Tech Oy.
  • "Not So Good Rings" refers to any wearable devices like smart rings, other typically finger-worn or wrist-worn devices not manufactured by Taika Tech Oy.
  1. License Grant

2.1 Personal and Educational Use: You are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable license to use and distribute the Software for personal or educational purposes.

2.2 Commercial Use with Taika Ring: You are granted a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable license to use and distribute the Software for commercial purposes, provided that the Software is used solely to communicate with Taika Ring.

2.3 Commercial Use with Not So Good Rings: Commercial use of the Software to communicate with Not So Good Rings requires a separate commercial license from Taika Tech Oy. Contact [email protected] to acquire such a license.

  1. Distribution

You are permitted to include and distribute the Software as part of your projects and applications, provided that such projects or applications are intended to communicate with Taika Ring, or are for personal or educational purposes. Any use of the Software to communicate with Not So Good Rings requires a separate commercial license.

You must include this license in such distributions.

  1. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Use the Software for commercial purposes with Not So Good Rings without obtaining a commercial license from Taika Tech Oy.
  • Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, or lend the Software for use with Not So Good Rings without prior written consent from Taika Tech Oy.
  1. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice from Taika Tech Oy if you fail to comply with any terms of this license. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies, full or partial, of the Software.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Software is provided "AS IS," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software.

  1. Governing Law

This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
