Scroll to top button issue on mobile devices

First of all many thanks for this terrific template,
As I am customizing it for a new web site I noticed that the scroll to top button is not working on mobile devices when positioned on one of the four boxes (Stationary, Ice Cream,Strawberries and Workspace) of the portfolio section, it behaves as if you clicked one of the boxes directly.
Any help on this matter ?

I will take a look at this and test it out. It might have something to do with a z-index somewhere.
