ShipIt regularly jumps to 100% CPU usage and stays there

Not sure if this is a good place to put this, but I have this issue with the Splice app. Splice it not my app clearly, I just have it installed. M1 Pro.

Just had ShipIt process max out a core. I felt my M1 MBP was uncharacteristically warm. When I force quit the process, Arduino booted up.

This is not the first time I've caught ShipIt in a loop like this.

Is this something client apps (like Arduino) are doing wrong, or is this a bug with ShipIt?

SlidePad uses Squirrel and I noticed Shipit stuck at 100% after updating yesterday SlidePad v1.4.9
