Hi All,
As discussed in the class, Group 2 can come on Monday(today) while Group 3 will come on Tuesday (tomorrow). Before going further with the classes, I would like to request you to go through ROS tutorials(at least the beginners level) so that we can focus more on hands-on details with different hardware and not spend time on fundamental theoretical concepts. It will also be helpful in better appreciation/understanding of what we are experimenting during the sessions.

Please bring at-least one laptop with ROS installed properly(more than 1 will be better though). I will also be posting links to some course video/slides which are helpful in getting started.

Even with all the hands-on and tutorials, you will get comfortable with ROS only by working on projects and assignments yourself. We will be releasing an assignment which will involve running a robot in simulation/P3DX robot soon.

Hi All,
We had first round of hands on sessions for all 3 groups. In this some people got stuck due to installation issues which is fixed(I hope for all the groups). Tomorrow's session will be for those who want to catch up and move till RGBD cameras or even those who want to brush up are welcome. To make the sessions effective, I would again request everyone to go through ROS tutorials and first four videos of ROS Course.

Hi All,

There will be no session today(13th June). Any one who wants to use lab hardwares are welcome. I may not be free but other peoples in the lab can help you if you face any problem.

We will have a common session for all the groups tomorrow(Friday) from 3pm.

Regards

Sir, I won't be able to make it to class today, but am pretty keen on the drone building session. Would it be possible to schedule it tomorrow( Sunday)? Or could I attend a separate class on Sunday if you do take it tomorrow?
