Any way to get vacuum to clean segment instead of "marked area"?

So, I've managed to generate a room config (after some help in another thread). However, since my rooms are not all squares, it seems when selecting f. ex. "entrance", the part which overlaps (in the square) with fireplace_area gets cleaned as well, i.e. the robot cleans by the coordinates given in the square instead of the segment "entrance", making it very much like the zone cleanup. Is there any way to change this?

As mentioned in the other thread, I can get the robot to clean just the segment "entrance" by following the guide here.

If there isn't an easier way, I guess I would somehow need to pass the selected room ids to a script based on MQTT (such as the guide above does)?

Your config should already clean rooms (segments). These rectangles are just for presentation purposes. You can adjust them to match room outlines by changing outline config (documentation)

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that is not what happens currently but then I know that the problem is somewhere in my configuration..

And regarding the outline, unfortunately I can not select Path so I can not create an L-shaped outline that way for now, I'm not sure if Path is not supported by Valetudo or if I haven't set it up correctly..

I'll do some fault tracing on my own tomorrow regarding this and why it cleans by "outlined area" instead of segment id, but here is the current xml for referral (rooms config generated "automatically" by the card config):

Can you try to add

to the card's config, try starting room cleaning and send a screenshot of a popup that will be shown?

@NoBagels the robot coordinates are 100% the rooms shapes you see on the map.
Meaning Entrance is the light blue one (selecting entrance icon the robot will clean the entrance). The outline (unfortunately) I didn't figure out yet how to generate it in a more precise way.

As Piotr advised you can add points to the outline and generate the L Shape, actually you can also remove the outline and keep only the icons and labels the segments are defined in valetudo.

The camera will generate a faded color indicating the segments that are clean.

If you select the entrance and the robot goes somewhere else I think this could an issue on the coordinates generated by the camera probably wrong segment ID? (I didn't got any reports and I use an S5 too without any problems).

To create the L shaped room you might use part of the kitchen and main_rooms outline coordinates it's a laborious work but if you want those indications to be more precise.. sorry if it's not precise in auto generated (although is just an indication).

@PiotrMachowski @sca075 So, today I finally got around to vacuuming again and I can not seem to reproduce the issue (and the debug output looks "good"/as expected).

Sorry for wasting your time, I have no idea what went wrong previously to be honest.. But thanks for the answers and the extra clarifications regarding f. ex. outlines and how they (don't :-) ) relate to segments.

And while I'm at it, thanks for all the great work regarding the card and camera et.c., really nice implementation in HA!
