I think centralizing the settings like this is a good idea for ease of use. If new users break things they probably shouldn't be changing settings they don't understand. |

I agree with @ac-arcana, devs will benefit from quick access to ease-of-use, project-specific settings. The easier COGITO is to use the more people will make use of it. Including a link to the documentation would be nice as well. It's something that could be kept quite simple and only be built up slowly as ideas for it bubble up in the discussions, with no expectation that it be exhaustive. |

I've started to work on this and it's going pretty well so far. I'll probably create a new branch for this, so people can test it out / contribute, before adding this to main, as it will contain quite a few changes. |

Created a PR for this + some plugin restructuring to be more Godot standard: #311 |

I'm playing around with the idea of adding a
Cogito
plug in tab to Godot that would give users access to some general settings and behaviors.I think this would be useful for exposing some global variables, and adding some convenient settings in the future.
But it comes with the risk of enabling less experienced users to break stuff.
Here's a quick draft (with no functionality yet) of how I picture this would look like:
Would love to hear ideas and inputs, maybe this isn't even needed.
