Hello, I was recently showcasing Liberty Bikes as part of a Microservices workshop with 12 attendees. When asked to join the game as guests, a couple of attendees couldn't join.

Details:

  • Pressing the SIGN IN AS GUEST button after inputting their username has the 'button clicked' feedback but wouldn't take them into the game.
  • Asking the user to use a different web browser or their phone wouldn't work either.

Just wanted to point this out in case you wanted to look into it for future large group workshops :). Cheers.

Hi @MaiHameed a couple of questions:

  1. Was anyone successfully in the queue for the next game?
  2. Anyone having trouble connecting using the exact same name as someone else?
  3. Were you using a single party for all of them, or a couple of hosted games on different tv's?
  4. Did it seem like there was a number of players threshold? ie worked fine with 10 but the 11th (and 12th) started messing up.
  5. Did this keep affecting a few people over and over or did it seem like anyone there could have hit this problem next?
  6. Did this happen the very first time they tried to sign in, or had they successfully signed in before, played a couple of games, and then tried to sign in again?

If this happens again, try having them change their username and report if that works.

Hi @olendvcook

  1. Multiple people were successfully in the queue.
  2. Don't think so, as I asked them to retry logging in with different usernames, and the issue still persisted.
  3. I only had one game hosted that they all tried to join.
  4. Unfortunately I couldn't keeping track of this.
  5. The same 2 people kept facing the same issue, even after changing their username, changing web browsers, refreshing the site, clearing cookies, and trying it on their phones.
  6. (I think) it was their first try signing in.

Cheers.
