I can't believe I have been such an idiot. The metal wires I set up actually don't radiate. Therefore the radiation pattern I've been getting has always been what's radiated from the point source at the centre ( |

Hello everyone. I've been trying to simulate some wire antenna configurations from Antenna Theory Analysis and Design book and having a few problems.
For a wire antenna of half wavelength, the results match the theory perfectly.
Notebook: Wire Antenna.json (Please change the extension to
.ipynb
...)For one of a whole wavelength, however, the results deviate from the theory a bit. I adjusted the flux box a bit so that the flux box does not touch the antenna while also keeping the box inside the near-field region.
Notebook: Wire Antenna - 1.0lambda.json
For one of a length of 1.25$\lambda$ , the results are completely off.
Notebook: Wire Antenna - 1.25lambda.json
Did I miss anything in my simulation setup? Thank you.
