Switch from Feather Icons to Simple Icons? #248

Hello there,

We have three icon requests here for Keybase (#72), ORCiD (#136) and 500px (#149). Minimo currently uses the Feather Icons set, which doesn't have Keybase, ORCiD nor 500px. In addition, the people making these icons are considering to stop adding new brand logos (feathericons/feather#763).

For those wanting brand logos, the Feather Icons people suggest using the Simple Icons set instead, which does have icons for Keybase, ORCiD and 500px, in addition to all the other services currently configurable in Minimo (codepen, facebook, github, gitlab, instagram, linkedin, twitter, telegram, google_scholar and youtube). The only missing icon is a generic one for email, although I think the mail.ru icon is generic enough for the purpose of the mailto: link in Minimo's social menu.

So, here is my suggestion: if it is possible, can you switch to using the Simple Icons set for Minimo? This would make it easy to solve #72, #136 and #149 without taking away current functionality. It would also make it easy to add more services to the social menu (this icon set has pretty much every logo you would want to use).

This is an excellent idea. It could also be used for Mastodon (#174, #225) and generic Git (#244).
