In GNOME Shell 3.36.0, many ui elements have been added or altered which means the macterial shell theme doesn't correctly style some elements. The main issues I've noticed so far are the dropdown calendar and the separators in dropdown menus.

Affected in GNOME Shell 3.38.1 as well.
