Currently spiders will attack you no matter how far away from them you are.. I think they should attack you only if you are in some "view range" (maybe kamikadze spiders will be more sensitive?)

Also, normal spiders should not just run and attack you, if you haven't provoked them before... After all, why would they hate you otherwise? 😄

That means that spiders will need some other job to do while they aren't busy with you, say, making nets, searching for something or just randomly walking around.

This being said, I'll like to ask you to give feedback on this idea, maybe expanding the list of 'jobs' for spiders, or by just constructively criticizing it... 😃

Well I just put an issue about a giant goliath spider

  • What about this can be its queen? this will give them a purpose to be.

Other thoughts about the spider life:

  • Maybe some of the spiders have babies and they are just take care of them
  • Like a little scenario there can be some spiders eating a corpse and then attacking you
  • If you just hit an alone spider it will go for help and team up with other ones. (the more the better)
  • They are sleeping
  • They are close to water (every fauna need drink)
  • Some of them like real spiders, are in the trees.
  • Fighting against other fauna
  • Making a nest to protect its queen (they grab your boxes and put them around the queen)
    Maybe this can give another purpose to the boxes, like I comment here: Some Reports about Enhancement and Proposals after testing the latest commit...  #35
  • If they have low life and see you, they will run.
  • Maybe they can be digging to hide and attack.
  • They are in love with other spider and you interrupt them.
  • If you fire a noisy gun they will go for you from a long distance(or wake up if are sleeping)
    (we can implement some arrows or melee to don't make noice)
  • They won't see you if you are approached by behind
  • If you run (TAB) or dodge (SPACE) they will notice you even if don't see you directly.
    THE SOUND FACTOR will give us more ideas I think.

@erik90mx ~ BTW, about the "seeing" I would purpose a "sneak" mode, in which you walk slower, but they notice you harder. 😄
