Keyhotee freezes if ethernet cable plugged in after keyhotee started

I downloaded http://www.invictus.io/bin/keyhotee_0.5.3.gz
I'm able to run it offline, but it freezes from the moment I plug in the internet cable.
I was using Ubuntu 12.04.3
If I start out with the ethernet cable plugged in, it works. I tried with some test-profiles.
If I start out offline and create my Founder ID, it freezes from the moment I plug in, so I wasn't able to verify my registration.

We've been unable to duplicate this error so far, so dropping priority on it for now.
