Describe the bug
I have to control click the game open as my Mac won't recognize it, the program launches, gives me a missing RES error code then disappears to the startup menu. Im able to click on the screen but nothing actually happens. It won't even start the game, its like the whole game freezes. doesn't matter if I use .jar or .exe. Moving the file doesn't help either

Expected behavior
The game should allow my to press the Home Screen buttons and play the game

To Reproduce
control click open
'missing file' screen appears
it closes itself and open the main home screen for the game
able to click on page but won't actually do anything

Attach files

error

Additional information:

  • Game version 0.4.8.3
  • OS: MacOS Monterey
  • Using .jar
  • most recent java version (371) as I am unable to download the older version without creating an oracle account.

Mac, for whatever reason, require running the game via the terminal.
Additionally, the Mac distributions of Java 8 don't seem to have the required dependencies, so it may bew easier to use Java 11 with the separate javaFX installation.

I don't use mac and don't know much about it but I heard someone talk about this
https://www.winehq.org/
this could maybe work, from what I know it lets you run windows apps in linux/mac
