Not a issue, Just a suggestion...

I think add a power off option should be a great addon to this homebrew.

Good idea.
I wanted to know if it is possible to add the restart option?

Are not that two options already on the console?, you press and hold the power button and a overlay allowing to restart - power off is shown.

thats a really long way of doing it though like it takes a while for that menu to show. i would also like to have a pwer off feature in the overlay it would be nice to have one

Can you put here how to insert hekate, shutdown, stock and UMs?

carr654 commented Dec 28, 2023

here is the exact text you need - open your switch folder on sd card, then packages folder and then the package.ini and paste this text in and same it thats it done - you will now have hekate, shutdown, stock and ums in your ultra menu on the packages screen - if you want to make sure these show when you first open the ultra menu like i have then you just change the option in the config folder to open packages menu first.

[Hekate]
reboot

[Shutdown]
shutdown

[Stock]
reboot boot Stock

[UMS]
reboot UMS

Yes it should be able to. Add them inside of the config file that's how I did it when I used to use soul pancake

So disable autoboot in hekate right and what's s-p??

S-P is Studious-Pancake, if you press [Minus] while you have the overlay of Studious-Pancake the system will reboot.

If your default bootloader is Hekate, hekate will shown a small line at bottom of screen before autoboot your default selection, while the line is shown you can press [VOL -] to enter NYX and the selection screen.

It seems like the developer doesn't care much about teaching his project here, you taught it very well.

@HookedBehemoth Hi, thanks a lot for all your work.

I was wondering some time ago if there is a way to boot directly to start screen of NYX from Studious-Pancake?

My work around are:

  • Select UMS and wait for timeout.
  • Launch Hekatexxxx.bin payload from Studious-Pancake and press Vol- while the ticker is running at bottom of screen
  • Select my CFW option (the one read from Hekate_ipl.ini) on Studious-Pancake and press Vol- while the ticker is running at bottom of screen

but a direct option to boot on to NYX without interaction would be nice.

Reading the Hekate documentation I got lost :P

You could add code to do it. I didn't bother doing so. If someone would write a patch, I'd consider merging it.
