I have set my DC++ in active mode but it displays the message that IPv4 GeoIP database could not be updated and failed to create port mappings. When I search no results are shown. It works only in passive mode.

The GeoIP database plays no role since connection to hubs outside the campus without VPN is not possible.

As for no result in searches; check your firewall settings.
