#3859 added the HDF5Examples repo into a subdirectory with the expectation to pull in all the examples located elsewhere. The initial implementation concentrated on the CMake build code. Minimal changes were made to the scripts used by autotools. This issue is created to track the expected chages needed to fix the autotools build code.
