Checklist

Problem

With #518, we now have mouse picking for gizmos, but it would be very useful to able to use this feature for not only gizmos, but also all kinds of rendered objects. This could be used by tesseratos tools or even in actual games.

Solution

Read the tracked issues for more information on how this can be implemented.
