This is the Ground Textures Mod for Stock Visual Enhancements.

change log

  • New textures!
  • Trees no longer under water
  • Solid scatter objects (rocks, trees, and the like) are back!
    • Now enabled by a Module Manager cfg so its easy to find and delete if you don't want solid scatter objects
  • Sun light intensity curve
    • As you get further away from the sun, things will get darker.
  • Kopernicus Expansions footprint compatibility

To install:

1. Install Kopernicus https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/releases/latest
and drop into GameData.

2. Drop the SVT folder into GameData folder.

If you don't want rocks, trees, cactus' and other scatter objects to be solid, edit the "EnableColliders" cfg in the SVT folder; change %collide = True to %collide = False

SVT v2.0.3

  • New textures for a few bodies
  • Fixed some unfinished configs (missing brackets)
  • Fixed more case sensitivity things for Linux users.
  • Fixed terrain jitters on some bodies (hopefully all bodies)
  • Adjusted render height for PQS for smoother transitions from scaled space to height map

Some pretty minor changes

  • Jool rings are now included
  • New Jool texture
  • New Sun texture with coronas
  • Made transition between scaled space and the height map more natural looking
  • New scatter object textures for Kerbin. (cactus, pine trees, grass, snowy pines)

  • New textures for some celestial bodies
  • Better performance
  • No more hieght maps or normal maps
    • This allows for mod to be installed/uninstalled at any time without vessels being destroyed.
    • No more floating/ impossible to get to points in missions.
  • May have fixed issues with OpenGL users (Macs and linux)
  • Now using built-in meshes and textures for scatter objects (better performance)
