School of Public Policy of CMU wants to acquire this Geonode but won't be able to do it physically till March 2020 - when their new website will be up. Till then they'd like to just link to the current instance, but have it rebranded.

The following would need to be changed:

  • logo (edit: the correct logo is this one: http://spp.cmu.ac.th/webspp/img/logospp.jpg)
  • background photo
  • main text to " GeoNode - CMU School of Public Policy"
  • subtext " with support from Understanding Risk"
  • Separation of a "users" and an "about" menu (Like disasterrisk)
  • Change both the 1) header (top banner) and the 2) black panel color to ##00b0dbc9 (edited the hex number to the correct one: same as here: http://spp.cmu.ac.th/webspp/)
  • change footer logs as mentioned here Change footer logos #6

Edit 11/24/2019 - this is the correct logo not the one previously shared.

@gmolinario this should be done now.

We have also optimized the various images to consume much less bandwidth.

@simboss I added a bullet to the list (Couldn't figure out how to add those fancy checkboxes :)

@gmolinario with "Change the black panel color to" you mean this one?

Also, the hex color you indicated is actually different from the one of the logo you sent. Is that correct?

Hi @afabiani yes I mean that one. I edited two of the posts above, please refer to the top post again. Not only was the hex color wrong but also the logo. Sorry about that. And for the color change could you change both the "black panel" you mentioned above but also the top banner with the menus?

like here: http://spp.cmu.ac.th/webspp/

thanks!

@gmolinario done, can you please check?

P.S.: remember to clean up the cache in order to see the changes.

hi @afabiani it looks good, thanks!

two additional questions

  • could you please change the font. and /or make bold the sub-title " with support from Understanding Risk". It's not very legible.
  • At the bottom of the page, above the "with support from:" panel, there is only one layer showing (building footprints) and not centered. also not centered is the link "explore all datasets". Not sure if this is an error? Perhaps can we just show a thumbnail of a layer and a map over the top row of the "featured datasets"?

If so the layer thumbnail could be from the "city plan" layer, and the map thumbnail could be from "comparison of building footprints map" for example

@gmolinario I have done some changes to the Welcome page styling, please review.

Moreover, the Featured Datasets thumbnails are dynamic. Those depends by the attbitute "Featured" of the dataset metadata

thanks @afabiani -I took one layer (DSM...) and I changed the setting as you showed making it a featued layer, but now on the homepage the featured layers (2) display one on top of each other?

Screenshot 2019-11-27 00 59 16

another question: How many featured layers will be displayed in that area of the homepage?

Thanks

@gmolinario I'm going to fix this styling issue. Thanks for looking.
Potentially there's no limit to the featured layers / maps you can display on the home page.

@gmolinario errata corridge, it seems that those are limited to 4 by default

ng-repeat="item in featured | limitTo:4

@gmolinario I fixed and improved this on GeoNode core and deployed on urbanflooding accordingly to this

thanks @afabiani . It works now.

However I discovered that while using the wizard to edit the layer, the thumbnail editor doesn't work. The image dissapears when you click on "edit".

@gmolinario I'll double check, it might be a regression on GeoNode.

In the meantime, in the case you would like to update or change the thumbnail, you can do that from the layer/map details page, zoom on the area of interest and then click on

The "Upload" button allows you also to upload a generic image from your local PC.
