I have a box that's connected to our WiFi network, but can't use the internet.

  • All the signin attempts failed
  • It can't ping google.com (ping: bad address 'google.com')

This box still appeared in the connect.doodle3d.com list because it sign-in before the update and after the update it received the same ip address.

It can ping ip addresses.

# ping 173.194.65.104

dnsmasq is running:

1096 nobody 752 S /usr/sbin/dnsmasq -C /var/etc/dnsmasq.conf -k

No difference in /var/etc/dnsmasq.conf compared to a working box.

Later we could try changing the nameserver to one of google's.

# cat /etc/resolv.conf
search lan
nameserver 127.0.0.1
# cat /tmp/resolv.conf
search lan
nameserver 127.0.0.1
# cat /tmp/resolv.conf.auto
# Interface wlan
nameserver 10.0.0.1
search lan

All the same as the connected WiFi-Box.

Box with issue reads a different resolv configuration?
Box with issue:

Wed Jun 17 12:29:14 2015 daemon.info dnsmasq[1096]: reading /etc/resolv.conf
Wed Jun 17 12:29:14 2015 daemon.warn dnsmasq[1096]: ignoring nameserver 127.0.0.1 - local interface

Box without issue:

Wed Jun 17 12:28:29 2015 daemon.info dnsmasq[1103]: reading /tmp/resolv.conf.auto
Wed Jun 17 12:28:29 2015 daemon.info dnsmasq[1103]: using local addresses only for domain lan

The box without issues seems to use the resolvfile from /etc/config/dhcp.

(We say without issues, but the fact that it starts and stops 3 times and complains about no address range available is troubling as well)
