Error while installing micromamba #40
Comments
same |
Same for me aswell |
Looks like the bin folder lives in the Library folder in the Windows package, which is backed up by the docs: https://mamba.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html#windows |
You'll need to move the bin folder located at C:\Users\youruser.micromamba\Library into C:\Users\youruser.micromamba\ for now |
This issue has cost me a significant amount of time and energy trying to find a workaround. Simply moving the executable did not work; the extension suggests running a command that fails because the PowerShell script it references does not appear to exist. Additionally, all the installation procedures on the Mamba website are confusing and convoluted; they either do not work for me, or do not show up under this extension. I'm just a student looking to use an open-source Python distribution, with the help of this otherwise-great extension. I don't want to give up and go download Anaconda, but at this point I'm not sure I have a choice. It would be really cool if this got fixed at some point. |
